Granger is a city located in Cass County, Nebraska. As of the 2010 census, the town had a population of 1,092. It is part of the Omaha-Council Bluffs Metropolitan Statistical Area.
Granger was founded in 1873 when the Chicago, Burlington & Quincy Railroad was extended to that point. The community was named after Henry Grange, an official at the railroad. A post office was opened in 1876. The town was incorporated in 1882.
