Bargersville is a village in Finney County, Nebraska, United States. The population was 66 at the 2010 census. The village is located between the communities of Holton and Enders.
The first settlement at Bargersville was made in the late 1860s. It was named for William Barger, an early settler. The first post office at Bargersville was established in 1876. Bargersville was incorporated as a village in 1902.
During its early years, Bargersville had several general stores, a hotel, a blacksmith shop, and a livery stable. Later it had a grain elevator, a hog-buying station, and a livestock-buying station. The village also had two churches, the Baptist and the United Methodist, both of which are still active. In addition to agriculture, the town’s economy was based on the mining of gypsum deposits.
Today, Bargersville is mostly a small agricultural community. The town does however, have a post office, a motel, a hardware store, a bank, and a few other small shops. The village is also home to a few small businesses, a large grain elevator, and a county fairgrounds.
