Greenwood is a village in Cass County, Nebraska. The population was 267 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Omaha-Council Bluffs metropolitan area.
The village was first platted in 1871 by C. C. Cleveland, who consequently gave it his own name. The village's name was changed to Greenwood in 1876, likely a reference to the nearby Greenwood Lake. The post office was established in 1875.
Greenwood is mainly an agricultural community. The local economy consists of corn, soybean, and honey production. The town is known for its large Lutheran church.
