South Haven is a village in Buffalo County, Nebraska, United States. The population was 192 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Kearney, Nebraska Micropolitan Statistical Area.
The village of South Haven was organized in 1888 during the settlement of the state of Nebraska. The area was originally known as East Kearney. It was named South Haven due to its southern orientation on the Wood River. In the late 19th century, it was a farming and stock raising community.
