Georgetown is a village in Cass County, Nebraska, United States. The population was 301 at the 2010 census. Georgetown was laid out in 1873 when the railroad was extended to that point. It was named for George W. Kirchmeier, who was the original owner of the town site. The first post office in Georgetown was established in 1872.
Georgetown is located in the center of the state along the Platte River. The town is within easy access to Interstate 80, and is within a few miles from the village of Louisville and the City of Plattsmouth.
