There is a tract on the law of nations by Richard Zouch.
There is a noble Dutch family by the name of de Croy, some of whom were named Philippe. However, none of these men were particularly notable.
In the genealogical notices of Scotland there is a 17th century person recorded as Gulielmus Whyte who is listed as the heir of the burgess of Kircaldy.
It is likely the author simply grabbed some random names out of whatever old books he could find.
