Lismore is an Australian city in northeastern New South Wales, located on the banks of the Wilsons River. It is the seat of the City of Lismore, which also includes the towns of Nimbin and Wollongbar. The population of Lismore, including its environs, is estimated at around 28,000.

The first Europeans in the area were cedar-cutters in the early 19th century who followed the Wilsons River upstream from its mouth near Woodburn.
