Foley is a city in Baldwin County, Alabama, United States. The 2010 census reported a population of 14,618. Foley is part of the Daphne-Fairhope-Foley micropolitan area, which includes all of Baldwin County. It is the largest city in Baldwin County.

Foley was named after John B. Foley, a Chicago area business man who invested in the Gulf Shore railroad. The city was incorporated on “September 13, 1908.”

Foley is located along Highway 59 in south Alabama. It is near the beaches of Gulf Shores, Alabama and Orange Beach, Alabama. Visitors often come for the great seafood, the unique shopping and the many outdoor activities such as golfing and fishing. The city is hosting one of the oldest farmers markets in southwest Alabama that was established in 1974.

Foley is the home to several major employers, most notably the OWA amusement park and the Foley Sports Complex. The city also has numerous entertainment venues, including the Foley Civic Center, the E.O. Wilson Depot, the Foley Railroad Museum and the Gulf Bowl.
